Christmas Monster Cookies are what you get when you combine all your favorite cookie recipes – chocolate chips cookies, M&M cookies, peanut butter cookies, and oatmeal cookies! These Christmas cookies are a giant cookie of yumminess!
If you love peanut butter cookies, oatmeal cookies, chocolate chip cookies, M&M cookies, or all of the above, this cookie is for you! It is all of the above!
Like any cookie with a long history, it has changed over the years. But in my opinion, it has been perfected!
This Monster Christmas Cookie recipe uses green and red M&Ms to become a festive treat, but you can use regular M&Ms and make these cookies year round. These are super fun to make and a great way to get the kids involved in Christmas baking.

Monster Cookie Ingredients
Most of the ingredients for this Christmas Monster Cookie recipe should already be in your pantry. A quick trip to the store will find you with everything you need to make these flourless Christmas cookies.
- butter: I used salted, but this is a rich cookie and I think unsalted butter would work in this recipe as well
- brown sugar: here’s why we pack brown sugar
- sugar
- peanut butter
- eggs
- baking soda
- vanilla extract
- quick cook oats
- chocolate chips
- red and green M&Ms
That’s right, no flour cookie recipe here! I tend to make a mess with flour, so I love these festive cookies.

How to Make Monster Cookies Christmas Style
Monster Cookies may have a lot of “main” ingredients, but they are not a monster of a task. These giant cookies are easy to make.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugar. In a large bowl, cream butter, sugars and eggs until light and fluffy.
- Add rest of ingredients. Add peanut butter and mix until combined. Add baking soda, extract, and oats and stir until well combined. Stir in mini chocolate chips and M&Ms.
- Bake the cookies. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop out rounded balls of dough onto the lined baking pan, leaving an inch of space between balls to allow room for the cookies to spread. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until the cookies look golden brown and the center of the cookies are baked but still soft. The cookies will stiffen as they cool, resulting in a soft, chewy cookie.
- Cool the cookies. Allow to cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes, then transfer your monster cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely.

Recipe Tips
- I highly recommend using a stand mixer to make monster cookies. The dough is very thick and the mixer is able to mix everything together easily.
- I used a 2.5″ ice cream scoop to scoop out the cookies.
- The cookies may still be very rounded when they come out of the oven. They will fall a little as they cool. You can press them down with the back of a spoon about a minute before taking them out of the oven if you want them to be flatter.

Storage Instructions
You can store Christmas Monster Cookies in an air-tight container or freeze in baggies for future use.
