Homemade Frosted Lemonade is a delicious summer drink where frozen lemonade meets vanilla ice cream.
This is the perfect summer drink, combining two of the best summer things. Cool down on a hot day with this frozen lemonade.
This drink is inspired by Chick-fil-A’s Frosted Lemonade, but with less sugar so you get the refreshing taste of lemonade with just a hint of creamy goodness. So yummy!

Frosted Lemonade Ingredients
To make this copycat recipe, you will need these ingredients from the grocery store (see the recipe below for exact amounts and instructions):
- Fresh lemon juice: Do not substitute bottled lemon juice. The lemon juice is the heart of the recipe and freshly squeezed juice will give you the best flavor.
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Cold water
- Vanilla ice cream
- Granulated sugar: if you like your lemonade sweeter feel free to increase the amount of sugar used.
- Ice cubes

Tools Need to Make Blended Lemonade
Citrus squeezer – Having a quality citrus squeezer makes a big difference when squeezing lemons and limes.
Citrus zester – This zester is easy to use and wash.
Measuring cups – Use a liquid measuring cup for the liquids and solid measuring cup for the ice cream.
Blender – I love my Ninja blender. It is powerful and gets the job done.

What Other Variations Can I Make?
This lemonade slushie recipe is easily adaptable. Add more sugar if you like your lemonade extra sweet. Leave out the ice cream for a purely lemonade drink. Add some frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, or even flavored syrups for a fun twist on this frozen drink!
You can even add a splash of vodka or gin to make it a fun summer cocktail!

Can I Use Honey Instead of Sugar?
Honey would be a great substitute in this drink. If you want to substitute honey start by adding 3 Tablespoons and go from there.
