Chicken Sausage Skillet

Chicken Sausage Skillet is a delicious 10 minute meal that is low carb and loaded with flavor. Chopped veggies are sautéed with chicken sausage and mixed with cauliflower rice.

Chicken Sausage Skillet Ingredients

To make this skillet dinner recipe, you will need the following ingredients (go to the recipe below for exact quantities and instructions):

  • Cooking Oil
  • Cauliflower rice: precooked/prepackaged or read my post on how to make cauliflower rice). You can also substitute white or brown rice if you want more carbs.
  • Chicken sausage
  • Zucchini
  • Red bell pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt & Pepper

How to Make Sausage & Rice in a Skillet

  1. Slice the chicken sausage and cut up the vegetables.
  2. Place skillet on stove over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to the skillet.
  3. Brown the sausage and vegetables in the oil.
  4. Add cauliflower rice and garlic powder. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine. The rice will soak up the rest of the cooking oil.
  5. Once rice is heated through, it is ready to serve.

Recipe Tips

Careful! The skillet will be hot. Use a towel or oven mitt to hold the skillet handle.
