Spiked Frozen Arnold Palmer is an iced tea and lemonade beverage with an adult twist. Blended with vodka, this frozen cocktail is perfect for summer!
Half iced tea and half lemonade, this drink is an American Classic. (The real Arnold Palmer was a golfer, in case you didn’t know.) On a hot day, this is the perfect combination.
Not everyone likes iced tea (me included), and lemonade adds the perfect amount of sweetness. Add in some flavored vodka, you have a perfect adult version of this delicious drink.
Spiked Frozen Arnold Palmer Ingredients
To make this Arnold Palmer with alcohol, you will need the following ingredients (see the recipe card below for exact amounts):
- Sweet Tea Vodka
- Lemon Vodka
- Sweet Tea
- Lemonade
- Ice
- Lemon
- Brown Sugar
How to Make Candied Lemon Wheels
Cut the end off of the lemon half and slice lemon into 4 even slices or “wheels”. Set aside. Place a small pan on the stove, heat to medium heat.
Cover both sides of lemon wheels with brown sugar. Place lemon wheels in pan, cook for about five minutes and then flip. Cook for an additional five minutes. Turn heat up to high for a few minutes, carefully watching lemons so they don’t burn. When both sides have a nice caramelized color they are ready.
Remove from heat. Place in freezer on an uncovered plate until ready to use.
How to Make Adult Arnold Palmer Cocktail
- Place 2 ½ cups of ice in the blender. Pour the Sweet Tea Vodka and Sweet Tea into the blender. Secure the lid and blend on high until all of the ingredients are mixed and the drink is smooth and slushy.
- Pour it evenly into each glass, each glass should be filled up about halfway full. If you have any extra you can pour it into a plastic ziploc bag & place it in your freezer to keep it slushy.
- Wash the blender out. Add 2 ½ Cups of ice. Pour in the Lemon Vodka and Lemonade. Secure lid and blend on high until all of the ice is crushed and ingredients are mixed well.
- Pour frozen lemonade mixture right on top of the frozen tea mixture in each glass. Garnish with a candied lemon wheel and a straw!
Tips for This Recipe
- You can freeze the drinks for about 10-15 minutes after pouring the tea mixture into the glass to ensure a clear and distinguished separation between the lemonade and tea.
- The Candied Lemon Wheels can be made ahead of time and frozen. Other possible garnishes include: lemon wedge , lemon twist, or even a lemon wedge dipped in sugar.
- Rim the glass with sugar for added flavor and flair.
Storage Instructions
With frozen drinks, it’s always possible to place any leftovers in a Ziploc bag or plastic container and freeze them. Because of the alcohol, they’ll stay slushy for a little while before freezing solid. I do recommend labeling them so there’s no confusion.
