Easy Dinners/ Weight Watchers

The Best Spicy Chili Recipe | 2 Points Weight Watchers Chili

The best way to warm up on a cold winter day is with Chicken Tortilla Soup or a hot bowl of chili. This recipe is the best Spicy Chili Recipe and is different than most spicy chili recipes. What sets this chili apart from the rest is that it includes green chile. Green chile is a spicy pepper that is grown here in New Mexico and the level of spice is dependent on many variables. It has been especially hot this year! But you can buy mild canned green chile at the store. It adds so much flavor. Homemade chili is one of my favorite dishes.

This recipe is for everyone and I have included the Weight Watchers points. For the Weight Watchers chili recipe, you will use 93% lean ground turkey instead of ground beef. Of course, you can use ground beef if you adjust the points. During the winter, I like to aim for low points during meals so I can enjoy things like hot chocolate and Christmas cookies. Mmmm.

Put garlic, chili powder, oregano, basil, salt, pepper and garlic salt into the pot and stir really well.

Simmer for 15 minutes on medium heat, then on low for 30 min. The longer it simmers the tastier it becomes.

Optional: Top with cheese and sour cream. If you are on Weight Watchers and want a zero point topping, use non-fat greek yogurt instead of sour cream.

You can also cook all day in slow cooker on low. First brown the meat, then add all ingredients together and cook for 8 hours on low.
