What are Hasselback Potatoes?

These potatoes were created in Sweden and the name comes from the name of the restaurant where the chef worked.

What Kind of Air Fryer Do I Need for This Recipe?

A Cosori 5.8 qt air fryer was used for this recipe, but you can use whatever brand Air Fryer you have. You may have to adjust the instructions to your air fryer.

If you have not bought an air fryer yet, this Ninja Foodi is an air fryer, instant pot and slow cooker all in one.

How to Make Hasselback Potatoes in an Air Fryer

Making hasselback potoates in the air fryer is a quick way to get perfectly cooked and crispy potatoes every time.

Air Fryer Potato Side Dish Recipe

Step 1. How to cut hasselback potatoes

Cut slits, 1/4″ apart, in each potato, making sure you stop before cutting all the way through the potato. I like to use chopsticks on each side of the potato to help stop the knife from cutting the potato all the way through.

Step 2. Prepare the air fryer and potatoes

Preheat air fryer to 350 for 5 minutes. Use a brush to spread olive oil onto the potatoes and sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add to preheated air fryer basket.

Heat at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. When cooking cycle is complete, mix together melted butter and Parmesan cheese and spread on top of potatoes. Return to air fryer for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
