How to Whip Ricotta Cheese

  1. Place the ricotta in a medium-sized bowl. Whip with a hand mixer over medium speed for 2 minutes or until it is smooth and creamy.
  2. Transfer to a serving dish.
  3. Top with honey, thyme, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  4. Serve immediately or within a few hours of making the dip.

If you plan on making this ahead of time I would wait to add the toppings until just before serving. You can whip this up 2 days ahead of time. Please note that once the dip sits it will release a bit of water, as ricotta is a high-moisture cheese. You will also need to add more toppings to the dip before serving if it will be placed in the fridge overnight or longer.
