Frozen Mint Julep is a refreshing cocktail made with homemade mint simple syrup and bourbon. A fun twist on the Kentucky Derby classic drink.

For the mint simple syrup:

For the frozen mint julep:

bourbon

Instructions
In a small pot over medium heat combine the sugar, water and fresh mint. Cook until the sugar is dissolved, stirring often, around 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and strain into a mason jar. Let it cool completely.
Add the mint simple syrup, bourbon and ice to a blender. Process until smooth.
Pour into cocktail glasses and garnish with mint sprigs.
