What is Cube Steak?

Cube steak is a type of beef that has been tenderized by pounding with a meat tenderizer. This creates small indentations on the surface of the meat, giving it a cube-like appearance and hence the name “cube steak.” It is typically made from top round or top sirloin cuts of beef.
