April 2017 Blog Income Report – $1,651.35
I am moving my monthly blog income reports from Rocky Mountain Savings to this blog. Since I have 2 main blogs now, this report will include combined numbers for both blogs. I accidentally skipped March (oops) as it got lost in the hustle of getting settled in my new city and starting my new blog. Below is my income report for April 2017, with a short recap of March. I am including my expenses, so you can see those as well. I am not including any affiliates where I did not reach the minimum payout and/or was not paid this month.
This post contains affiliate and referral links. I make a small amount of money when you click this links and/or sign up for services. You get to help support my blogging addiction at no additional extra cost. 🙂
Total Income for April 2017 = $1,651.35
This was a very good month for me! I have had a lot of luck getting sponsored posts on Activate that pay really well. More people are starting to pitch me for posts, too. That is the goal, to have the work come to me.
My March income was $919.30 and it mostly came from sponsored posts.

PayPal Fees – $14.73
Plugins – $74.54

Total Expenses for April 2017 = $619.08
One of my goals going forward is to lower my expenses. I had a few big sponsored posts this month that required making recipes and photographing food. These always cost more as I have to buy all the ingredients for the main recipe, ingredients for side dishes or garnishments to accent the recipe, and props for the photo shoot. I am still building my arsenal of food photography props. The key is lots and lots of white dishes!
My March expenses were $682.23. These were high because I started this blog, did my taxes, and included subscription boxes in my costs.
